Monday, September 8th, we have so long awaited and today it finally happened! We left on zeeklas. The train ride was smooth and we were in no time at our destination! After a long walk we arrived at the domain flipper. We were immediately treated to a delicious meal, vol-au-vent with croquettes and vegetables. Our afternoon started with the distribution of the rooms and making the beds (yes mums and dads, it succeeded in everyone smoothly) !! Afterwards we explored De Panne and we played some beach games under a radiant sun. We played include baseball, relay and badgers robbery. Our day we ended with a casino night. A nice end to a fantastic first zeeklasdag!
Tuesday September 9 This morning we took the tram to Oostduinkerke. We were met at the Fisheries Museum by our guides. During our walk through the museum we got more information about the fisherman's life, we visited an old fisherman's house and we ended the tour with the stroke of a few rays in the aquarium. After a pressure-filled morning we made our muscles loose with a ride on the go-karts. Then we discovered the Panne and shops. Shop Fun guaranteed! Then we went to the beach and we went looking for the shells for our shell collection. specialty beverage After a hot shower and a large plate of spaghetti was the next activity already scheduled. specialty beverage The students were presented with some 25 challenges that they had to bring to a successful conclusion. If it worked or not they will tell you with pleasure Friday. This day had already passed! We look forward to tomorrow!
Thursday, September 11 Another great day on zeeklas and this time the sun was at the party! In the morning we were immersed in the life on the beach. We learned more about the different types of shells, the tides and beach life. After the delicious lunch we went to Oosthoekduinen where a guide told us more about the flora and fauna of the coast! It was a fascinating walk! This evening we are still enjoying our last moments at sea and we have a party! Our last day at sea, we started cleaning the rooms and making the suitcases. Here and there we find the lost towels, washcloths, underpants ... but fortunately everything quickly contact the right owner. After a hearty breakfast we went to the Nightingale. This educational visitor center we learn more about the beach, the plants and animals on the coast. After this visit we were expected in the Flipper. Since the cooks were ready with our last lunch. Once again we we were spoiled. This time we got mashed potatoes with beans and meatballs in tomato sauce served. The meal ended with an ice cream. Mmmm ... tasty. After dinner we played for a bit on the playground and then it was time to return home. Our week zeeklas there is unfortunately already! We all enjoyed specialty beverage it to the fullest!
