The Baker and I have spent a month in Europe on trains traveling west twenty plus years ago, and we wanted to share some of the experience with the kids. For many reasons we've chosen not flown for years, and though it would be cheaper to go on a plane from Manchester to La Rochelle, the train is a nice and convenient way of traveling and seeing bittersweet candy bowl the country (and also allow periods in Paris and London each end). Blog entertaining - and I do we're going to Ile Re next week. Do you have any tips for us in terms of good places to eat out and buy food to eat in, good places to hire bikes, things to do, things to avoid and so on? Thanks gruffydd55. Near La Noue we were waiting: between Sainte Marie de Re and Le Bois-Plage en Re. Perfect in every respect except one-there bittersweet candy bowl was the beach [and along the south coast of the bridge up to Les Grenettes] not very good for swimming due to the rocks. Great for catching crabs, and a lovely soft yellow sand on the beach itself, but not so good in a ^ over. Unfortunately we did not venture into Le Bois Plage, but maybe it's better over there. Eating-for that five of us (one child aged 8 quite fussy, bittersweet candy bowl and another is a vegetarian) was difficult to find somewhere to please everyone so a little really did not eat in restaurants; one was very nice on the harbor in Saint Martin de Re, but I'm afraid that none of us
